Our Story
Cheetah Kids was inspired by a boy named Cameron who discovered cheetahs at a very young age. While doing a project about cheetahs in Kindergarten he fell in love with their many spots and the fact that cheetahs are the fastest land animal on earth. He also discovered that cheetahs were struggling to survive and the number of cheetahs in the world was decreasing each year. Cameron decided he wanted to do something to help them. In 2006, we started Cheetah Kids as that love for cheetahs spread throughout the family. It started as an educational online resource when there were very few kid-focused resources to teach about cheetahs and the problems they encountered daily to survive on earth. We have grown into sharing our love of cheetahs through our website, hosting community events, sponsoring CCF events and offering cheetah-inspired products. We know kids love cheetahs and we want to inspire and engage kids of ALL ages to learn, care and share to do more for cheetahs and the communities they live in.
Our Team
The Cheetah Kids' team has worked together to provide a comprehensive and educational resource for learning about cheetahs and their role in our world. We are continously working to expand our reach and awareness building through the website, hosting community events, sponsoring CCF events and offering cheetah-inspired products.
In Support Of
The funds raised through product sales and events are donated to organizations that help save cheetahs. The Cheetah Conservation Fund is our main giving partner. To date we've raised several thousands of dollars to help Dr. Laurie Marker and her hard working team to save wild cheetahs.
In 1990, Dr. Laurie Marker discovered wild cheetah populations were on the decline and no one was doing anything about it so she that she would! She created the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) in Namibia, Africa. Dr. Marker has dedicated her life to making sure cheetahs are given their best chance to survive on our planet. She is truly an inspiration and a wildlife conservation HERO.
