About

Our Mission

To educate and raise awareness among kids of all ages and raise funds to help wild cheetahs, their ecosystems, to protect and save our earth's biodiversity.
Cheetahs are just one part of an ecosystem and helping them creates a positive impact on the natural world and the communities who live among them. The funds raised through product sales and events are donated to organizations that help save cheetahs. The Cheetah Conservation Fund is our main giving partner. To date we've raised several thousands of dollars to help Dr. Laurie Marker and the CCF save cheetahs.

Cheetah Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. EIN#26-1606009

Our Story

Cheetah Kids was inspired by Cameron who, at a very young age, discovered and fell in love with cheetahs and wanted to do something to help them.
That love for cheetahs spread throughout the family and in 2005, we started Cheetah Kids. It started as an educational online resource when there were very few kid-focused resources to teach about cheetahs and the problems they encountered daily to survive on earth. We have grown into sharing our love of cheetahs by expanding the website, hosting community events and offering cheetah-inspired products.
We know kids love cheetahs and we want to inspire and engage kids of all ages to learn, care and share to do more for cheetahs and the communities they live in.

In the last few years, Cameron was able to travel to the Cheetah Conservation Fund over the summer. He was fortunate to live at CCF, experience what it takes to run a conservation organization, work directly with the facilities operations and see incredible wildlfe. He met lots of hard working people at CCF and was able to spend every day among his very favorite animals, CHEETAHS! This was an experience he dreamt of having his entire young life.

Cameron is fortunate to be working as the renewable energy engineer for the Cheetah Conservation Fund. After graduating from college and patiently waiting to get to his new job he is finally there. He is very excited be a part of a dynamic organization that is making sure the cheetah has its best chance of survival and changing the world for the better. Follow us on Instagram and/or Facebook for updates on Cameron's adventures in Africa.

In Support Of

Upon starting Cheetah Kids, we were fortunate to connect with the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF). We quickly became supporters of their holistic wildlife conservation methods and non-profit organization aimed at saving cheetahs. In 1990, Dr. Laurie Marker created the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia when she discovered wild cheetah populations were on the decline and no one was doing anything about it. Dr. Marker has dedicated her life to making sure cheetahs are given their best chance to survive on our planet. She is truly an inspiration and a wildlife conservation HERO.
A Cheetah Chat with Dr. Laurie Marker of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (2014) Kristen of Cheetah Kids asks Dr. Marker why she started the CCF and what it is like at on a normal day in Namibia. Dr. Marker talks about the orphan cheetahs and what it takes to care for them. Also shares her favorite part of taking care of cheetahs and how can kids can help save the cheetah!
