Great to see so many of our AZ supporters and lots of new faces too. It will take lots of people to care and support our efforts to keep wild cheetah populations for future generations. Thank you for being there!
2021 International Cheetah Day - Dec. 4th REID Park Zoo w/CCF AZ chapter
A special day to raise awareness about saving wild cheetahs and supporting wildlife conservation.
We had a great day at the zoo talking about cheetahs and the need for organizations like the Cheetah Conservation Fund. Lots of people, young and old, expressed their love for cheetahs but were unaware of their low population numbers and struggles to survive. The day emphasized the need for raising awareness and increasing support for wildlife conservation as ongoing and important.
Thanks to the community for showing interest in helping to save wild cheetahs and the zoo for being a partner in conservation.

March 2019 Tasting & Tapas for Cheetahs event
Dr. Laurie Marker continues to work tirelessly to save wild cheetahs.
Cheetah Kids hosted Dr. Laurie Marker at the Wilhelm Family Vineyards at Ventana for an evening of cheetah news and wine tasting and tapas. Dr. Marker shared good news about the Cheetah Conservation Fund's successful 25 years of their Livestock Guarding Dog program and the re-wilding of several orphan cheetahs.
She also shared about the Illegal pet trade making a negative impact on the wild cheetah population. It has become a huge problem in the Horn of Africa. CCF is presently working in Somaliland to support and educate local Somalilanders to care for the very young and vunerable wild cheetah cubs confiscated from smugglers. Thank you to our cheetah supporters for coming to the event. It is obvious cheetahs need humans to care and share about their struggle to survive.
